Dr. Daniel A. Hamel is a licensed psychologist with over twenty-five years of experience in counseling, teaching research, executive coaching, organization development consulting and management in a variety of applied settings. He is an executive coach for several Fortune 500 organizations and conducts executive assessments for selection and development.

Dr. Hamel managed the San Antonio office of Interim Career Consulting for seven years, was a Director for the Psychological Corporation conducting research and test development and held clinical and administrative appointments at the Harvard Business School and psychometrics at Stanford and Trinity University's Counseling and Psychological Services. He also served as project consultant to the National Institute of Education, the Army Research Institute, the U.S. Office of Education, The College Board and the Educational Testing Service in Princeton, New Jersey.

Dr. Hamel has published broadly in the field of career development, contributing articles to scholarly journals and The Wall Street Journal publications. He has written several book chapters and is co-editor of Assessing Career Development with John Krumboltz of Stanford University. His current practice interests include executive selection, individualized leadership training for high talent /high potential managers, comprehensive development assessments for organizational succession planning, and career transition reviews with senior executives.

Dr. Hamel earned his B.A. degree in psychology, with honors, from Harvard University, an M.A. in Counseling from the University of Montana, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Stanford University.

Steve Garrett, Principal of Garrett Consulting provides career management and performance improvement services to corporate clients consulting firms and individuals. His expertise include Career Planning and Assessment; Competency Development and Selection Interviewing; Leadership Development and Supervisory Training; Organizational Career and Change Management; Individual Performance Coaching and Mentoring; Presentation and Influencing Skills.

Mr. Garrett also brings expertise in project leadership, instructional design and business development. His corporate clients have included Baxter Healthcare, Arthur Andersen, Illinois Society for CPA’s, Northern Illinois Gas, Harris Bank, Motorola, Corning, Inc., Stiffel Company, and a number of professional services firms in the career management, law and public accounting fields. He has also held positions as Career Counselor with Indiana University's Business Placement Office and as Financial Auditor and Executive Search Consultant with Ernst & Young. Steve is actively involved as Past President of the Chicago Chapter of the International Association of Career Management Professionals and as Vice President of the Career Transitions Center of Chicago.

Steve Garrett has a Masters in Business Administration Degree, with a concentration in Human Resources Management, Indiana University, and Bachelor in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, from Miami University. He is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Program in Public Speaking and Human Relations, qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Kolbe Conative Index, and a Career Management Practitioner by the International Board for Career Management Certification.

Chuck Scharenberg is president of Scharenberg & Associates. He is a leadership performance coach and consultant who specialize in helping current and potential high achievers - enhancing their performance in leading their organization to accomplish its mission and purpose.

Chuck works in partnership with clients and colleagues to design specific approaches to individual and team leadership development. He conducts individual and group coaching sessions and facilitates group processes for team building, conflict resolution, and strategic planning.

Chuck incorporates his training experience (in the art of behavior change, hands-on skill development, and attitudinal change) into all of his work in order to maximize client self-empowerment. His recent clients include corporation executives; small and medium sized service and industrial corporation managers, and individual business owners, consultants and sales associates.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Management from the University of Iowa, Master Practitioner Certification in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and ongoing training in organizational and human resource development. Chuck has also served as an officer of the Organization Development Network of Chicago, and he is a member of the International Coach Federation.

Steve Morgan is an experienced consultant providing coaching, training and train-the trainer services to a variety of government and private corporations for over 15 years. Steve has an engaging style that focuses on understanding first the person and their situation.

As a project manager, a Fortune 500 oil and gas company to integrate six divisions, facilitate the development of a team-based culture to increase productivity throughout the organization retained Steve. He coached middle and senior management regarding leadership, teambuilding, communications and performance management issues. Steve designed and implemented a training program for the FAA on the use of the FIRO-B and the *MBTI in an organizational setting. As Regional Consultant for CPP, INC., Steve was responsible for government projects, including Project Manager for DANTES.

Recent projects include managing a cross-functional training program in a 3 billion-dollar company moving from a regulated to a non-regulated environment providing consultation and training to corporate and government entities on using technology to delivery training and career services utilizing multiple deliver platforms. These platforms included the Internet, Web Casting, Web Mail and Satellite. The companies included the following: Federal Express, Delta, BellSouth, and The Home Depot.

Steve has a Master of Science- Georgia State University, Counseling Certifications held include the MBTI, Strong Interest Inventory and Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation He is a Member of American Society for Training and Development and Member of Applied Psychological Type

Human Resource Techniques Karla Dobbeck, a certified professional in Human Resource Management, founded Human Resource Techniques, Inc. in 1997. She is a member of the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce’s HR Team, The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce, the current Program Chairwoman for The Stateline Chapter of The Society for Human Resource Management in McHenry County and the Chairwoman for the McHenry County Economic Development Board’s Workforce Development Committee.

Ms. Dobbeck’s clients include manufacturing companies, not-for-profits, municipalities and service companies. Her accomplishments include developing effective communication tools, auditing the human resource function and designing systems to enhance a company’s ability to manage and develop their employees.
